Service Description
Workshop Goal Participation in NBMC’s Anti-Racism Training is designed to achieve the following: • Foster an inclusive workplace culture by enhancing participants’ understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion and its implications for the work environment. • Increase awareness of human rights legislation. • Equip participants with practical tools to actively address systemic racism, discrimination and harassment in the professional environment. Workshop Objectives • Define key EDI and Antiracism terms and their implications for fostering inclusive organizations • Identify legislation that supports inclusivity and belonging in organizations • Examine experiences of discrimination and harassment by racialized communities in organizations • Explore practices and strategies that promote inclusivity at all levels in organizations Workshop Overview Module One - Key EDI and Antiracism Terms and Definitions Module Two – Human Rights, Inclusion and the Organization Module Three – Addressing Systemic Racism Module Four – Strategies and resources to build inclusive organizations Scenario-based learnings Training Details • Title: Building Inclusive Organizations with Equity, Inclusion and Antiracism Tools • Timing: Full-day session (either 9:00–4:00 or 9:30–4:30 with breaks). • Language Options: English or French • Format Option: In-person or virtual (Zoom/Teams). • Participant Limits: Maximum 50 people per session.
