Nominations Now Open for the 2026 Champions for Cultural Diversity Awards

New Brunswick Multicultural Council invites the public to recognize leaders advancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging across New Brunswick

Fredericton, NB - June 10 - The New Brunswick Multicultural Council is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Champions for Cultural Diversity Awards (CCDA).

The CCDA recognizes individuals, organizations, employers, and community leaders who are helping build a more inclusive, welcoming, and connected New Brunswick. Through their work, leadership, and commitment, nominees contribute to stronger communities where cultural diversity is valued, celebrated, and reflected in everyday life.

The 2026 Champions for Cultural Diversity Awards ceremony will take place on October 2, 2026, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, bringing together community leaders, settlement agencies, partners, employers, and supporters from across the province.

“Nominations are an opportunity to recognize people and organizations who are creating meaningful change in their communities,” said Ben McNamara. “The Champions for Cultural Diversity Awards shine a spotlight on those who lead with inclusion, strengthen belonging, and inspire others across the province.”

Community members, organizations, employers, and partners are encouraged to nominate candidates whose initiatives, leadership, or service have had a positive impact on diversity and inclusion in New Brunswick.

Nominations will remain open until July 10, 2026. Award recipients will be announced in September 2026.
