NBMC is recruiting for its Board of Directors

ree

The New Brunswick Multicultural Council Inc. (NBMC) is the bilingual, non-profit umbrella

organization for both established and emerging multicultural and ethno-cultural associations, as well as immigrant-serving agencies across the province. Since 1983, NBMC has played a key advisory role to federal, provincial, and municipal governments on issues related to multiculturalism, immigration, newcomer settlement, retention, and labour market integration.

NBMC is also recognized by the multicultural community as a trusted voice for the sector, a key resource for building capacity and readiness, and a collaborative partner committed to maximizing sector resources.

NBMC is currently seeking strong community leaders to fill a vacancy on its Volunteer Board of Directors, which is composed of 12 to 15 individuals. Board members bring diverse backgrounds, skills, and experiences essential to the strategic direction and effective governance of NBMC.

We are specifically looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the board. This individual will offer insights from fields that impact newcomers and multicultural communities. Working alongside representatives from NBMC’s Constituent and Affiliate members, the SME will contribute to board committees and help shape NBMC’s strategic vision.

The Board of Directors plays a critical role in advancing NBMC’s mission. From advocating for policy reform and empowering young immigrants, to strengthening provincial capacity through training and knowledge sharing, the Board helps ensure NBMC remains a driving force in New Brunswick’s social and economic development.

If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, please contact Ben McNamara at ben.mcnamara@nbmc-cmnb.ca. Applicants will be asked to submit a Curriculum Vitae and complete an application form, available upon request.

Application deadline: August 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. AST.
