Sector Enhancement and Member Engagement
The settlement sector in New Brunswick has grown exponentially in the past decade, with a current cumulative workforce of approximately 300 people. Similarly, immigration continues to be a priority policy for federal and provincial governments alike.
The Sector Enhancement and Member Engagement project is driven by the growing need to support the New Brunswick Settlement Sector through resources, professional development, and opportunities to network and collaborate.
Through this project, Member Organizations are equipped with the information, tools, resources, and networks required to enrich the integration, inclusion, and retention of newcomers within their communities.
What We Do

Project Goals
In collaboration with the Settlement Sector Academy project, we offer strategic training and professional development opportunities to settlement professionals from across the province;
Provide a collective voice for Members within and outside of NBMC;
Increase opportunities for cross-collaboration and coordinated efforts to address sector-specific challenges (Collaboration Days with external stakeholders, online discussions, monthly Executive Director meetings with external presenters, and more);
Creating and maximizing original content and NB-specific resources for the Sector;
Recognize Champions for Cultural Diversity for outstanding contributions in integrating and celebrating newcomers in our province.
