Settlement Workers In School
The Settlement Worker in Schools (SWIS) program helps newcomer students and their families integrate into the school system and community. SWIS workers provide direct support by connecting students to school programs, after-school activities, and community resources while helping parents navigate the education system and Canadian culture.

IMvisible Gender Based Violence
IMvisible GBV works to strengthen New Brunswick’s capacity to support Non-Status, Refugee, and Immigrant (NSRI) women impacted by Gender-Based Violence. Grounded in intersectional feminist principles, the project recognizes the layered realities of migration, race, status, language, and culture, and challenges structural inequities by advancing culturally responsive resources and training. It also provides awareness sessions for women and families to address, prevent, and respond to GBV in ways that center dignity, safety, and empowerment.

IMvisible EMpowerment
The IMvisible EMpowerment works to economically empower newcomer women in New Brunswick by addressing systemic barriers in hiring, recruitment, onboarding, and retention. Many newcomer women, despite their qualifications and experience, face workplace cultures and Human Resources practices that do not fully recognize their skills or unique realities. Through intercultural HR training for employers and empowerment sessions for women, and the development of practical resources and awareness tools, the project promotes inclusive, culturally responsive workplaces where newcomer women can access meaningful employment, feel valued, and thrive.
