The Creating Inclusive Workplaces and Communities workshops inform and engage individuals on cultural differences and how to become “culturally dexterous”. This workshop is a great tool for you to apply in all aspects of your life and an invaluable resource in an increasingly multicultural New Brunswick.

In this workshop you will:

• Learn how to define culture and about cultural diversity around the world;
• Discuss the difficulties and advantages of operating in a multicultural environment;
• Get tools and resources to help you become a good cross-cultural communicator; and
• Gain insight on what it’s like to enter into a new culture, as well as discuss challenges newcomers face and how you can help vs. hinder their integration.

Cultural diversity is growing in New Brunswick, with an increase in immigration and newcomer populations. Each of these individuals comes from different regions, with different cultures, social norms, and ways of living. By acknowledging our differences, recognizing our similarities, and learning how to communicate across our cultures, you will gain confidence and be provided with tools to help you interact in a multicultural context.
