Why is this important?

For the Province
Cultural diversity is growing in New Brunswick, with an increase in immigration and newcomer populations. Each of these individuals comes from different regions, with different cultures, social norms, and ways of living. By acknowledging our differences, recognizing our similarities, and learning how to communicate across our cultures, you will gain confidence and be provided with tools to help you interact in a multicultural context.

For employers
For employers, it is crucial for the whole team to be culturally aware and learn how to work with people from multiple and diverse backgrounds.  Fostering diversity in your organization can unlock tremendous creativity, new perspectives, and enable you to better understand and respond to the needs of your customers, both locally and in foreign markets. Having a diverse workforce is to your company’s advantage, as multicultural teams have been shown to drive productivity and innovation and contribute to a competitive edge.
